Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over the Kimberley. A surface trough extends
from the central Pilbara into North Interior.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A moderate to strong cold front will move over the southwest of the State
during Thursday. A ridge of high pressure will extend from the Central West to
the Eucla during Friday. On Saturday a cold front will brush the south coast. A
ridge of high pressure will develop in the wake of the cold front along the
south coast on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 25 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible about the western Kimberley and central
Interior. Showers southwest of a line Lancelin to Bremer Bay, with light falls
anticipated.
Forecast for Thursday 26 October
Afternoon showers and thunderstorms about the Interior, and coastal parts of
the Kimberley. Showers extending throughout most of the South West Land
Division with the exception of the northeastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt
and Central West districts, before contracting to coastal parts in the evening.
Afternoon thunderstorms in the Goldfields and Eucla.

Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, with light falls
anticipated. Morning coastal showers in the Central West, Gascoyne, and South
East Coastal. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms about the eastern and
northern Kimberley. Morning showers and thunderstorms about the eastern
Interior.
Forecast for Saturday 28 October
Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, extending to areas
southwest of a line Geraldton to Hyden to Israelite Bay in the afternoon and
evening. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms about the eastern and northern
Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 29 October
Morning showers over south and southwest parts of the State. Afternoon showers
and thunderstorms about the eastern and northern Kimberley.
