Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over the Kimberley. A surface trough extends
from the central Pilbara into North Interior.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak high pressure ridge lies over southwestern parts of the State. A series
of weak colds front will brush the southwest of the state from Wednesday
throughout the rest of the week.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 24 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the east Pilbara, Interior, north and west
Kimberley. Showers in the far southern Goldfields and South East Coastal
district.
Forecast for Wednesday 25 October
Afternoon showers and thunderstorms about the western Kimberley and Interior.
Showers over southwestern parts of the South West Land Division, southwest of a
line Lancelin to Bremer Bay, with light falls anticipated. Chance of morning
showers about eastern parts of the Southeast Coastal district.
Forecast for Thursday 26 October
Afternoon showers and thunderstorms about coastal parts of the Kimberley and
the Interior. Showers extending throughout most of the South West Land Division
with the exception of the northeastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt and
Central West districts, before contracting to coastal parts in the evening.
Forecast for Friday 27 October
Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, with light falls
anticipated. Morning coastal showers in the Central West and South East
Coastal. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms about the eastern and northern
Kimberley. Morning showers and thunderstorms about the eastern Interior.
Forecast for Saturday 28 October
Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, extending to areas
southwest of a line Geraldton to Hyden to Israelite Bay in the afternoon and
evening. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms about the eastern and northern
Kimberley.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
