Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies near the Pilbara coast and the Kimberley coast. It is
expected to move further inland on Sunday before being pushed northwards on
Tuesday.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A near stationary ridge of high pressure lies to the south of the State with a
surface trough near the west coast. A cloud band that is sweeping over the
southwest of the State will contract eastwards during Sunday. The surface
trough will deepen near the west coast during Tuesday and move eastwards on
Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 26 March
Rain areas and isolated thunderstorms over the South West Land Division,
southern Gascoyne and Goldfields with moderate to heavy falls possible through
the Central Wheat Belt, northern parts of the Great Southern and adjacent Lower
West. Showers and thunderstorms over west Pilbara and remaining Gascoyne.
Showers over the western Eucla and the southern coastal parts of the South West
Land Division.
Forecast for Sunday 27 March
Showers and thunderstorms over near coastal parts of the Kimberley, the
Pilbara, Gascoyne and South West Land Division tending to rain areas over the
eastern South West Land Division and western Goldfields. Rain and thunderstorms
extending to the eastern Goldfields, western Eucla and Interior with showers
and thunderstorms clearing from the Southwest Land Division during the day.
Forecast for Monday 28 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeastern Gascoyne
and Interior. Showers south of a line Walpole to Norseman to Forrest
contracting to the Eucla coast in the evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 29 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and northern parts of the
central Gascoyne, mostly afternoon and evening. Morning showers along the Eucla
Coast.
Forecast for Wednesday 30 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western Pilbara and northern
parts of the central Gascoyne, mostly afternoon and evening.
