Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies near the Pilbara coast and through the northwest
Kimberley.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over the south of the State with a surface trough
extending from the Gascoyne through to the Southeast Coastal district. The
trough will continue moving eastwards this evening ahead of a weak cold front
expected to brush the southwest of the State on Friday. On Saturday a high
pressure system will move south of the State into the Bight with a surface
trough redeveloping near the west coast by Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 31 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, and central
Pilbara. Showers near the south coast west of Albany developing this evening.

Forecast for Friday 1 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior and the central
Pilbara, mostly afternoon and evening. Light showers or drizzle south of a line
from Lancelin to Hyden to Israelite Bay.

Forecast for Saturday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the western Kimberley, northwest Interior and
near the Pilbara coast, mostly during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 3 April
Showers and thunderstorms near the west Kimberley coast and over northern and
eastern parts of the Pilbara and adjacent Interior, mostly during the afternoon
and evening.

Forecast for Monday 4 April
Showers and thunderstorms near the Kimberley coast and the central Pilbara,
mostly during the afternoon and evening. Showers developing southwest of a line
from Mandurah to Katanning to Israelite Bay during the afternoon and evening
with a chance of thunderstorms over the Southeast Coastal district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
