Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the inland Pilbara and across the northwest Kimberley and is
expected to move offshore for a period in the morning. The trough should then
persist near the Pilbara and northwest Kimberley coasts for the next few days.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies south of the State and a trough lies near the
west coast. The trough will deepen on Saturday then move east later in the day.
A weak front is expected to pass south of the state on Sunday with the ridge
strengthening south of the state on Sunday and Monday. The trough redevelops
near the west coast on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 27 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, parts of the coastal Pilbara and
far northwestern Gascoyne.
Forecast for Sunday 28 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the northeastern Kimberley. Morning showers near
the western south coast.
Forecast for Monday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the northeastern Kimberley.
Forecast for Tuesday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the northeastern and northwestern Kimberley.
Chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening in the western
Central Wheat Belt and western Great Southern.
