Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the inland Pilbara and into the Kimberley. A tropical low
could form over the Browse Basin during Saturday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
The deep surface trough is likely to move eastwards into central parts of the
State on Wednesday, and then into the Gascoyne and Interior on Thursday. A weak
ridge will form south of the State on Wednesday and Thursday in the wake of the
trough. On Friday a weak cold front will brush the western south coast in the
morning. During Saturday a high pressure system will move south of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 31 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara, Goldfields,
eastern Southeast Coastal district and the western Eucla. Showers and drizzle
about the southern coastal parts and adjacent inland areas west of Israelite
Bay.

Forecast for Thursday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Goldfields, and
Interior. Showers or drizzle patches over the southern coastal parts east of
Albany in the morning.

Forecast for Friday 2 January
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior, the
Eucla, Goldfields, and adjacent South West Land Division. Showers southwest of
a line Mandurah to Albany, moving to the south coast between Albany and
Esperance in the afternoon.

Forecast for Saturday 3 January
Showers and thunderstorms in eastern parts of the State, and in the eastern
Pilbara. Showers along the south coast during the morning
