Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the inland Pilbara and into the Kimberley.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A deepening trough lies near the west coast and will move inland during
Tuesday. The trough continues eastwards to be situated over the central parts
of the State on Wednesday. A new ridge develops to the south of the State on
Wednesday in the wake of the trough.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the northern and western Kimberley. Chance of
showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening in the southern Central
West, western Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, and the adjacent South
Coastal district.

Forecast for Wednesday 31 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the northern and western Kimberley, northeast
Pilbara, Goldfields, western Eucla, southwestern Interior, eastern Southeast
Coastal district and the adjacent Central Wheat Belt. Showers about the
southern coastal parts west of Israelite Bay.

Forecast for Thursday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, northern
Goldfields, far eastern Gascoyne, Interior and the adjacent Central Wheat Belt.
Showers over the southern coastal parts east of Albany in the morning.

Forecast for Friday 2 January
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior, the
Eucla, Goldfields, adjacent Gascoyne and South West Land Division. Showers
southwest of a line Mandurah to Albany, moving to the south coast between
Albany and Esperance in the afternoon.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
