Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the inland Pilbara and across the northwest Kimberley and is
expected to persist for the next few days.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the western Gascoyne through to the eastern Eucla and
will gradually contract northwards during Monday. A strengthening ridge of high
pressure lies near the south coast whilst a new trough will deepen near the
west coast during Monday. The trough will move slowly inland during Tuesday and
Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the northern Kimberley. Isolated early morning
showers about the Southeast coast and adjacent Eucla.

Forecast for Tuesday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the northern and western Kimberley. Chance of
showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening in the southern Central
West, western Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, and the adjacent South
Coastal district.

Forecast for Wednesday 31 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the northern and western Kimberley, northeast
Pilbara, Goldfields, western Eucla, western Interior, eastern Southeast Coastal
district and the adjacent Central Wheat Belt. Showers about southern parts of
the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara, northern
Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne, Southern Interior and the adjacent Central Wheat
Belt. Showers over the South and Southeast Coastal districts clearing during
the afternoon.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
