Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies through the Kimberley, Pilbara and over northern parts of
the Gascoyne. A tropical low will approach the eastern Kimberley over the
weekend.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over inland western parts with a ridge of high pressure south of
the State. A low pressure trough inland from the west coast will move east on
Thursday and Friday. A weak front will brush the southwest corner of the State
later on Friday after which a new ridge of high pressure develops south of the
State.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 24 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, central and eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, Interior and northern and eastern inland parts of
the South West Land Division. Areas of drizzle near the south coast between
Israelite Bay and Albany.
Forecast for Thursday 25 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and eastern parts of the South
West Land Division. Drizzle possible over the South Coastal and Southeast
Coastal districts and the adjacent Great Southern.
Forecast for Friday 26 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, northern Central Wheat Belt, Interior and inland
Eucla. Rain developing over northeastern parts of the Kimberley with moderate
to heavy falls possible. Drizzle possible near the Eucla coast.
Forecast for Saturday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and northeastern parts of the Southeast
Coastal district. Rain and thunderstorms with moderate to heavy falls over the
Kimberley. Showers about near coastal parts from Cape Naturaliste to Bremer
Bay, extending east to Esperance in the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Sunday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and eastern Southeast Coastal district.
Rain and thunderstorms with moderate to heavy falls over the Kimberley and far
eastern Pilbara.

A broad trough lies through the Kimberley, Pilbara and over northern parts of
