Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies through the Kimberley, Pilbara and over northern parts of
the Gascoyne. A tropical low will slowly move over the Kimberley over the
weekend and persist over the area early next week.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over inland western parts with a ridge of high pressure south of
the State. The trough begins to move east during Friday as a weak front
approaches the southwest corner on Friday. The front moves through southwestern
parts on Saturday with a new ridge of high pressure developing in its wake.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 26 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, eastern Central Wheat Belt, Southeast Coastal
district, Interior and western Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and South East Coastal district. Showers
and thunderstorms tending to rain and storms in the north and northwest
Kimberley, with some moderate to heavy falls. Showers along the southern
coastal parts from Cape Naturaliste to Bremer Bay, extending east to Israelite
Bay in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and eastern South East Coastal district.
Rain and thunderstorms with heavy falls and possible flooding over the
Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Interior, Eucla, northern Central West and northern Central Wheat Belt. Rain
and thunderstorms with heavy falls and possible flooding over the Kimberley.
Showers developing about southern coastal parts in the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Interior, Eucla and northern parts of the Southwest Land Division. Rain and
thunderstorms with heavy falls and possible flooding over the Kimberley.
Showers about southern coastal parts in the evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
