Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies through the Kimberley, Pilbara and over northern parts of
the Gascoyne. A tropical low will approach the eastern Kimberley over the
weekend.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over inland western parts with a ridge of high pressure south of
the State. The trough begins to move eastwards on Friday as a weak front
approaches the southwest corner on Friday. The front moves through the
southwest parts on Saturday with a new ridge of high pressure developing in its
wake.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 25 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and northeastern parts of the
South West Land Division. Areas of drizzle possible over the South East Coastal
and Eucla districts.

Forecast for Friday 26 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, eastern Central Wheat Belt, Interior and inland
Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms extend into the South East Coastal district in
the evening. Rain developing over northeastern parts of the Kimberley with
moderate to heavy falls possible. Early morning drizzle possible near the Eucla
coast.

Forecast for Saturday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and South East Coastal district. Rain and
thunderstorms with moderate to heavy falls over the Kimberley. Showers along
the southern coastal parts from Cape Naturaliste to Bremer Bay, extending east
to Israelite Bay in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and eastern South East Coastal district.
Rain and thunderstorms with moderate to heavy falls over the Kimberley and far
eastern Pilbara.

Forecast for Monday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Interior, Eucla and inland Central West, extending to the coastal parts of the
Central West in the evening. Rain and thunderstorms with moderate to heavy
falls over the Kimberley and adjacent Pilbara and Northern Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
