Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system centred over southeastern Australia is directing a
moderate to fresh easterly flow over most parts.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southeastern Australia. A cold front is
moving over the southwest of the state and weakening during Tuesday morning. A
new ridge of high pressure will develop to the south of the State on Wednesday,
ahead of another cold front moving through the southwest of the state during
Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 26 August
Showers extending across areas southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Merredin
to Israelite Bay, gradually contracting east during the day. Isolated pre dawn
thunderstorms about the SW district and adjacent parts.
Forecast for Wednesday 27 August
Clear conditions over most parts. Gusty easterly winds over the Kimberley.
Forecast for Thursday 28 August
Showers extending across areas southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer
Bay by evening. The chance of thunderstorms about western coastal districts.
Forecast for Friday 29 August
A band of showers extending to lie southwest of a line Kalbarri to Israelite
Bay by evening. Lighter showers lingering in the wake of the band over
southwestern parts.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
