Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system centred over southeastern Australia is directing a
moderate to fresh easterly flow over most parts.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over the southeast of the State and will remain
there for the next few days. A cold front will approach the southwest corner of
the State during Monday and move through southern parts during Tuesday. A new
ridge of high pressure will develop to the south of the State on Wednesday,
ahead of another cold front forecast to move through the southwest of the state
during Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 25 August
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany with the chance of
thunderstorms over the South West district and the adjacent Great Southern and
South Coastal districts. Moderate to heavy falls and strong gusts are possible
in the South West district from late morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 26 August
Showers extending across areas southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Israelite
Bay, gradually contracting eastwards during the day. The chance of morning
thunderstorms for the South west and western South Coastal districts and the
adjacent Great Southern and Lower West districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 27 August
Clear conditions throughout the State, apart for some possible early morning
drizzle about the western Eucla, eastern Southeast Coastal district and
adjacent Goldfields. Gusty easterly winds over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 28 August
Showers extending across areas southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer
Bay during the afternoon. The chance of thunderstorms about western coastal
districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
