Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure extends from the northwest of the State to the
Interior and is directing a moderate easterly flow over most parts.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A slow moving cold front and rain band lies over central and eastern parts of
the South West Land Division and will move southeastwards during the day. A
second, weaker, cold front will brush the south coast during Sunday with a high
pressure system forming in the Bight by Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 30 August
A band of rain and possible thunderstorms over northern and eastern parts of
the South West Land Divisions as well as the southern Goldfields and western
Eucla, contracting to the southeast during the day. Isolated showers and over
the remainder of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Sunday 31 August
Showers at times throughout the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields
and Eucla, contracting to the south coast and Eucla late evening.
Forecast for Monday 1 September
Morning showers in the Eucla, southern Interior and near the south coast,
clearing during the day.
Forecast for Tuesday 2 September
Showers developing about the South West District during the morning and
extending to areas south of a line Geraldton to Israelite Bay by the evening.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
