Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over the Kimberley. Fresh southeasterly winds
over the Pilbara coast extending into the west Kimberley on Tuesday as a ridge
pushes in over the south of the State.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is extending over the southwest of the State. The ridge
will strengthen on Tuesday and move into the Bight on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 22 August
Cold and windy across the southern half of the State with showers. Some small
hail possible over the Goldfields, Eucla and Southeast Coastal district. The
chance of thunderstorms over the Southeast Coastal district, eastern
Goldfields, Southern Interior and the Eucla. Showers possible over the
northeast Kimberley, clearing during the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 August
Showers about the Eucla and south coast with the chance of small hail and
thunderstorms east of Esperance in the morning. Areas of morning frost over
inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 August
Showers about the southern coastal parts, eastern Goldfields, the Eucla and the
southern Interior. Small hail possible over the Eucla. Areas of morning frost
over the inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 25 August
Showers near the Eucla coast, mostly morning.

Forecast for Friday 26 August
Showers increasing about the southwest Capes near sunrise and extending to
southwest of a line Shark Bay to Esperance by evening. Some moderate to heavy
falls and thunderstorms possible in the south and west. Gusty winds on and
ahead of the showers as they extend east.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
