Western Australia Forecast

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough and associated rain band lies through the northern Pilbara and north
Interior and will move slowly northwards on Monday before weakening on Tuesday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system east of Esperance will move eastwards into the Bight
overnight. On Monday and Tuesday a high pressure ridge will develop over
central parts of the State. A cold front will reach the southwest corner late
early on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 28 August
A band of rain through the north and east Pilbara and north Interior. Showers
over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and western Eucla, most
frequent near the south coast.

Forecast for Monday 29 August
Showers near the west coast north of Perth. Showers in central and southern
parts of the South West Land Division and the southern Goldfields, mainly near
the south coast. Rain through the eastern Pilbara, North Interior and southern
Kimberley with showers possible over the remaining Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 30 August
Rain over the central and southern Kimberley and northern Interior, easing
during the day. Showers near the south coast, clearing during the afternoon.
Showers developing over areas southwest of a line Perth to Albany during the
day.

Forecast for Wednesday 31 August
Showers southwest of a line Carnarvon to Israelite Bay, extending eastwards
across the Goldfields and Eucla during the afternoon and evening while clearing
western parts. The chance of thunderstorms. Moderate falls likely over western
parts of the South West Land Division.
The chance of showers over the Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 1 September
Showers in the far east and across the Kimberley with the chance of showers in
southern parts east of Albany.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
