Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A weak rain band will develop over the Pilbara and southern Kimberley late
today into Thursday. On Friday a broad trough will lie near the Pilbara and
Kimberley coasts.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough in the southeastern parts of the State will move eastwards as
a new ridge of high pressure will develops near the south coast. A weak cold
front brushing the southwest of the State late Friday. A surface trough will
deepen near the west coast on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 31 August
Showers over the southern half of the State, clearing western parts in the
evening. The chance of thunderstorms over the eastern Goldfields, Eucla and
southern Interior.
The chance of showers over the Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 1 September
Showers over southern coastal districts, Goldfields, Eucla and Interior,
contracting to southern coastal parts during the day. Possible morning
thunderstorms about the Eucla and southeast Interior.
Rain over the eastern Pilbara, northern Interior and southern Kimberley,
gradually clearing.

Forecast for Friday 2 September
Showers near the south coast extending to areas southwest of a line Perth to
Israelite Bay during the afternoon and evening. Showers possible over the
southern Goldfields and South Interior during the morning.

Forecast for Saturday 3 September
Mostly morning showers along the lower west, southern and Eucla coasts.

Forecast for Sunday 4 September
Showers and thunderstorms developing in western parts of the State during the
afternoon and evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
