Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies across southern parts of the State with a trough
of low pressure through the central Kimberley. The ridge will strengthen over
the central and southern parts on Monday and Tuesday with fresh to strong
southeasterly winds over the Pilbara and the west Kimberley.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will move over the South West Land Division this evening and moves
eastwards into the southeast of the State during Monday. Cold and windy
conditions developing across the southern half on Monday in the wake of the
front. The ridge will strengthen over the central and southern parts on Monday
and Tuesday. A high pressure will move into the Bight on Thursday

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 21 August
Showers possible in the north and east Kimberley. Showers southwest of a line
Carnarvon to Ravensthorpe to Forrest, becoming widespread during the evening
southwest of a line Geraldton to Albany, with the chance of thunderstorms south
of Perth to Bremer Bay. Small hail possible in showers and thunderstorms
southwest of Bunbury and Walpole in the late evening.

Forecast for Monday 22 August
Cold and windy across the southern half of the State with showers. Some small
hail in the south, with the chance of thunderstorms near the south coast.
Showers clearing inland western parts during the morning and afternoon. Showers
possible in the northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 August
Showers about the coastal parts east of Cape Naturaliste, extending over
adjacent inland parts for a period in the day. Showers with the chance of small
hail and thunderstorms about southern coastal districts east of Esperance.
Areas of morning frost over the inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 August
Showers about the southern coastal parts, eastern Goldfields, the Eucla and the
southern Interior. Small hail possible in the showers over the Eucla and
Southern Interior. Areas of morning frost over the inland parts of the South
West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 25 August
Showers about the southern coastal parts east of Albany, and the southern
Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
