Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
Ex Tropical Cyclone Hilda lies south southwest of Bidyadanga and is currently
tracking in a south to southwesterly direction. A severe weather warning is
current for the eastern Pilbara and northwest Interior. Please refer to the
severe weather warning for the most recent warning information.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure strengthens over the southern parts of the State over
the next few days. A new surface trough develops near the west coast over the
weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 28 December
Rain and thunderstorms with heavy falls in the west Kimberley, adjacent east
Pilbara and adjacent northwest Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over the
remaining Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields and
the Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 29 December
Showers, rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls in the far east
Pilbara and adjacent northwestern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over the
remaining Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, north Goldfields, inland Gascoyne,
far northern parts of the South West Land Division and the Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 30 December
Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls in the western Interior and
southeast Pilbara. Showers and thunderstorms over the remaining Kimberley,
inland Pilbara, Interior, northern Goldfields, Gascoyne and far northern parts
of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 31 December
Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls in the southeastern Interior.
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Interior,
northern and western Goldfields, Gascoyne, inland parts of the Central West and
Lower West districts and adjacent Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Monday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, central and
northern Interior, western Goldfields, Gascoyne and northeastern parts of the
South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
