Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
Ex Tropical Cyclone Hilda lies over the northwest Interior and is currently
moving toward the south southeast. A severe weather warning is current for the
far eastern Pilbara parts and west of the North Interior. Please refer to the
severe weather warning for the most recent warning information.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
Over the weekend a ridge of high pressure will lie near the south coast and a
surface trough will form near the west coast. On Monday and Tuesday the surface
trough will lie over the northern parts of the South West Land Division and the
adjacent Gascoyne and Goldfields. A weak cold front will brush the western
south coast Monday morning.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 29 December
Showers, rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls and damaging winds in
the eastern Pilbara and northwestern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over
the remaining Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, north Goldfields, inland
Gascoyne, far northern parts of the South West Land Division and the Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 30 December
Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls and damaging winds in the
western Interior and east Pilbara. Showers and thunderstorms over the
Kimberley, inland Pilbara, remaining Interior, northern Goldfields, Gascoyne
and far northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 31 December
Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls in the southeastern Interior.
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Interior,
northern and eastern Goldfields, Gascoyne, northern and central parts of the
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Interior, western
Goldfields, Gascoyne, northern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Morning showers near the western south coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 2 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, North Interior,
western Goldfields, inland Gascoyne and northeastern parts of the South West
Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
