Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the inland Pilbara, through the North Interior. A
tropical low may develop well north of WA during Christmas Day or Boxing Day,
and is likely to move southwest during Wednesday and Thursday close to the west
Kimberley and east Pilbara. For more up to date details refer to

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies to the south of the State, and a trough will deepen
during Christmas Day through the Central Wheat Belt, Gascoyne and Goldfields.
On Boxing Day the trough will move east through the South East Coastal and the
Eucla districts, and a weak cold front will brush the southwest corner of the
state in the morning. A new ridge develops south of the State on Wednesday and
Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 24 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Interior, inland
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, Eucla and far northern parts of the South West
Land Division.
Forecast for Monday 25 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Interior,
Gascoyne, Goldfields and southern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 26 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northern and
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and South East Coastal. Showers over
southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 27 December
Showers, rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls in the north
Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over the remainder of the Kimberley, east
Pilbara, Interior, northeast Gascoyne, Goldfields and the Eucla. Showers in
coastal parts between Busselton and Bremer Bay, mostly during the morning.
Forecast for Thursday 28 December
Showers, rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls in the west
Kimberley, and adjacent east Pilbara. Showers and thunderstorms over the east
Kimberley, central Pilbara, Interior, northeast Gascoyne, northern and eastern
Goldfields and the Eucla. Showers near the western south coast during the
morning.
