Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Hilda lies over the Interior and is currently moving
towards the southeast. A severe weather warning for heavy rainfall is current
for parts of the North and South Interior. Please refer to the severe weather
warning for the most recent warning information. A broad trough extends from
the remains of Hilda over inland northern parts.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies near the south coast and a surface trough is
beginning to form near the west coast. On Monday and Tuesday the surface trough
will lie over the northern parts of the South West Land Division and the
adjacent Gascoyne and Goldfields. A weak cold front will brush the western
south coast Monday morning.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 30 December
Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over parts of the Interior,
associated with the remnants of ex-Tropical Cyclone Hilda. Showers and
thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, remaining Interior, northern
Goldfields, Gascoyne and far northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 31 December
Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls in the southeastern Interior,
easing and contracting southeast during the afternoon and evening. Showers and
thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, remaining Interior, inland
Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northeast
Interior, inland Gascoyne and far northern parts of the South West Land
Division. Morning showers possible near the western south cast.

Forecast for Tuesday 2 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western Pilbara, far North
Interior and inland Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 3 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far east and west Pilbara, far
North Interior and the northwest Gascoyne. The chance of showers and
thunderstorms over the eastern South West Land Division and the adjacent
Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
