Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies across the western Kimberley and inland Pilbara and will
persist over the next few days. A weak tropical low will move across the far
northern Kimberley during Friday and Saturday.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over the south of the State which should move
south during Thursday. A trough develops near the west coast during Thursday,
deepens during Friday and Saturday before moving inland from the west coast
Saturday night.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 22 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Pilbara, North Interior and western Kimberley.
Forecast for Thursday 23 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the inland Pilbara, central and west Kimberley
and northeast North Interior. Chance of a morning shower along the central
south coast.
Forecast for Friday 24 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the inland northwestern Gascoyne, Pilbara, North
Interior and Kimberley.
Forecast for Saturday 25 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Central West, northern Lower West, western
inland Gascoyne, Pilbara, North Interior and Kimberley. Mostly afternoon and
evening in all but the Kimberley. Heavy falls possible in the northeast
Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 26 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Great Southern, Central Wheat Belt,
northeastern Lower West, Central West, Gascoyne, Pilbara, northern Interior and
Kimberley.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
