Western Australia Forecast

for the period until midnight WST Wednesday 1 March 2017.

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough will lie close to the Kimberley coast and Pilbara coast for
the next few days. A weak tropical low will move off the west Kimberley coast
this evening and drift slowly westwards over the next few days.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough lies near the west coast and will move east during this evening,
bringing a humid change to western coastal parts for Sunday. The trough will
contract further eastwards on Monday to lie through central parts of the state
and remain fairly stationary on Tuesday. The trough will redevelop near the
west coast on Wednesday. Very hot conditions are expected on and east of the
trough.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 25 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara, western
Gascoyne and inland Central West districts.

Forecast for Sunday 26 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, eastern parts of the South West Land Division and the western
Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 27 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, the north Interior, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, eastern parts of the South West Land Division and Goldfields. Showers
near the western south coast, extending eastwards during the afternoon and
evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 28 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, the northeast Interior, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and the
southwestern Goldfields. Morning showers near the south coast, west of
Esperance.

Forecast for Wednesday 1 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, far southwest
Goldfields and throughout the South West Land Division away from the south and
west coast. Morning showers about southern coastal parts of the South West Land
Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
