Western Australia Forecast

for the period until midnight WST Friday 24 June 2016.

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over central Australia with a general easterly
flow over northern districts. A cloud band lies over southern parts and will
extending further northwards on Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is moving along the south coast. A cloud band northern parts
will contract further northwards from Tuesday to Thursday. A west to
southwesterly flow will maintain showers over southern parts of the State for
the next few days with another cold front moving along the south coast
Wednesday night.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 20 June
Showers over the southern half of the South West Land Division, mainly near the
south coast.
Areas of rain over the northern half of the South West Land Division, Gascoyne,
Goldfields and into the Eucla this evening.
Showers in the western Pilbara.

Forecast for Tuesday 21 June
Rain areas over the Gascoyne, western Pilbara, northern Central West district,
the northern Central Wheat Belt, Goldfields, southern Interior and the Eucla
with some heavy falls possible over the Gascoyne. Showers over mainly southern
coastal parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 22 June
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West district and western
South Coastal district, extending east along the south coast and north over the
Lower West district during the day. Rain areas over the Gascoyne, southwest
Pilbara, northern Goldfields and Interior, slowly easing during the day. Some
moderate to heavy falls over the northern Gascoyne and adjacent Pilbara.

Forecast for Thursday 23 June
Showers near the west coast south of Jurien Bay and along the south coast and
Eucla coast. Patchy rain areas over the northeast Gascoyne and adjacent
southern Pilbara, far northern Goldfields and the southwest Interior with light
falls anticipated.

Forecast for Friday 24 June
Showers near the Southwest coast, extending northwards along the west coast to
south of Kalbarri by the evening. Showers about the Eucla coast clearing.
Patchy rain areas over the northeast Gascoyne and Pilbara.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
