Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A rain band lies over southern parts and will slowly extend further northeast
during Thursday. A ridge of high pressure develops to the south on Saturday and
clears conditions to the east by the end of the weekend.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A rain band over northern parts will contract north on Thursday. A west to
southwesterly flow will maintain showers over southern parts of the State for
the next few days as a series of weak cold fronts brush the south coast.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 22 June
Rain areas over the Gascoyne, west Pilbara, northern Goldfields and Interior.
Some moderate to heavy falls over the west Pilbara.
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division
becoming mainly coastal in the evening.

Forecast for Thursday 23 June
Rain areas over the Pilbara, far northeast Gascoyne and the Interior.
Showers near the west coast south of Jurien Bay in the morning. Showers along
the south coast and Eucla coast.

Forecast for Friday 24 June
Patchy rain areas over the northeast Gascoyne, the Pilbara and the Interior.
Showers about the Southwest Capes, extending to the coast south of Perth in the
evening.

Forecast for Saturday 25 June
Rain areas over the northeast Gascoyne, the Pilbara and the Interior
contracting east out of the Gascoyne and west Pilbara during the day.
Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Albany, extending to southwest of a
line Geraldton to Hopetoun by mid afternoon and contracting to the Central West
coast and the Southeast Coastal district in the evening. Possible thunderstorms
mainly near the coast south of Perth to Albany during the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 26 June
Patchy morning rain in the Interior. Showers in the south Eucla clearing
eastwards during the day. Possible showers near the Southwest Capes later in
the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
