Western Australia Forecast

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over the south of the State and will remain near
stationary for the next couple of days. A cloud band will lie across the
Pilbara and Interior and gradually shift southwest as a trough develops through
the Gascoyne and extends into central parts of the State over the weekend.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over the south of the State and will remain near
stationary for the next couple of days. A broad trough will develop near the
Gascoyne coast on Saturday and extend southwards through central parts of the
State over the weekend ahead of a cold front that will move over the southwest
on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 30 June
Showers near the south coast and also in the southern Gascoyne and northern
Goldfields. Patchy rain through the Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and Interior.
Areas of morning frost over inland parts of the Southwest Land Division and
southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 1 July
Showers near the western south coast and about the southwest Capes. Morning
showers over the eastern Eucla coast. Rain in the Interior, with some patchy
light rain through the Pilbara and Gascoyne. Areas of morning frost over inland
parts of the Southwest Land Division and southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 2 July
Showers in the area from Cape Naturaliste to Bremer Bay. Areas of rain in the
Gascoyne, far northern South West Land Division and the Goldfields. Some patchy
light rain over the Pilbara and Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 3 July
Showers across the South West Land Division with possible thunderstorms and
small hail near the south coast in the afternoon and evening. Areas of rain in
the eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior, gradually
contracting eastwards during the day. Rain also possible in the western Pilbara
and northwest Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 4 July
Rain through the south Interior contracting east during the day. Showers
through the Goldfields, Eucla and southern parts of the South West Land
Division with possible thunderstorms and small hail near the south coast during
the morning. Patchy rain through the Pilbara, most likely in the west.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
