Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A rain band lies over the Pilbara and North Interior and is expected to ease
and clear to the east later Saturday and during Sunday. A weak ridge lies over
central part of the State.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge lies over central parts of the State. A cold front will move
through the southwest of the State during Saturday. A new ridge then develops
in the wake of the front on Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 23 June
Rain areas over the Pilbara and the Interior.
Showers along the south coast and Eucla coast. Early showers possible along the
west coast south of Jurien Bay.

Forecast for Friday 24 June
Patchy rain areas over the northern Gascoyne, the Pilbara and the Interior.
Showers about the Southwest Capes, extending to the coast south of Perth in the
evening.

Forecast for Saturday 25 June
Rain areas over the northeast Gascoyne, the Pilbara and the Interior
contracting east out of the Gascoyne and west Pilbara during the day.
Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Albany, extending to southwest of a
line Geraldton to Hopetoun by mid afternoon and contracting to the Central West
coast and the Southeast Coastal district in the evening. Possible thunderstorms
mainly near the coast south of Mandurah to Albany during the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 26 June
Patchy early light rain over the Interior, clearing. Morning showers near the
Eucla coast. Showers near the Southwest Capes and southern parts of the Lower
West district, mostly later in the day.

Forecast for Monday 27 June
Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Albany, mainly near the coast,
increasing during the day. Light rain possible later in the day over the
Central West district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
