Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the far northern Kimberley. A ridge of high pressure over
the south of the State will produce moderate to fresh southeast winds south of
the trough.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southern parts of the State. A cold front
will move over the southwest of the State on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 24 September
Showers over the South West district and western South Coastal district.
Coastal showers over the Eucla, clearing during the morning.
Forecast for Thursday 25 September
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany.
Forecast for Friday 26 September
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Walpole.
Forecast for Saturday 27 September
A band of rain moving through the South West Land Division during the day,
expected to lie near the southwest Capes early morning and near Geraldton to
Esperance by the evening. Moderate to heavy falls possible about the South West
district and adjacent parts. Scattered showers persisting in the wake of the
band. Showers also developing about the southwest Gascoyne towards evening.
Gusty northwesterly winds with possible raised dust in the Gascoyne, Goldfields
and Eucla in the afternoon.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
