...Wind Chill Advisory now in effect from noon Monday to 8 am CST
Tuesday...
The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a wind chill
warning...which is in effect from midnight tonight to noon CST
Monday.
* Geographic area...the windchill warning includes the counties of
Stewart...Montgomery...Robertson...Sumner...Davison...Cheatham...
Dickson...Houston...Humphreys and Benton.
* Timing...6 PM Sunday evening through 6am Monday.
* Wind chill values...as low as 20 degrees below zero
* main impact...1 to 2 inches of snow...with 2 to 4 inches
possible at the highest elevations of the plateau. Driving will
become hazardous.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
driving.
A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and
strong winds will create dangerously low wind chill values. This
will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia or death if
precautions are not taken.
