...Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from noon CST today
through this afternoon for gusty winds and low humidity along and
west of a line from Gallatin to Shelbyville...
* affected area...fire weather zone 501. Fire weather zone 502.
* Wind...south winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* Humidity...10 to 20 percent in the afternoon.
* Thunderstorms...none.
The highest threat area is located across northwest middle
Tennessee...generally along and north of a line from Linden to
Springfield.
* Impacts...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings. By 9 am this morning...this Fire Weather Watch will be
upgraded to a red flag warning or cancelled. Please stand by.
