Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the southern Kimberley and through the inland Pilbara.
A weak low lies off the northwestern Kimberley coast and is expected to track
west southwest over the next few days whilst remaining a weak system.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies inland from the west coast and will move further east today. A
new high pressure ridge moves south of the state during Tuesday with another
trough developing near the west coast on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms in the eastern South West Land Division and through
much of the rest of the state. Strong squalls and heavy rainfall possible with
thunderstorms.
Showers in remaining southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms throughout the north of the state and the Central
West district.
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms for the Goldfields, Eucla and the
Southeast Coastal district, mostly during the morning.
Forecast for Wednesday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms throughout the north of the state and the Central
West district.
Areas of drizzle or isolated showers about the South and Southeast Coastal
districts, Eucla and southeast Goldfields in the morning.
Forecast for Thursday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms through most of the state apart from near the
southwest coast and in the southeast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
