Wind Chill Advisory for Gallatin, TN

Wind Chill Advisory
Statement as of 4:01 AM CST on January 06, 2014

...Wind Chill Advisory now in effect until 8 am CST Tuesday...
...Wind chill warning is cancelled...

The National Weather Service in Nashville has cancelled the wind
chill warning.

* Area...northwest middle Tennessee...generally north of I-40
and west of I-65.

* Wind chill values...10 to 15 degrees below zero

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frostbite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors...make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

Patchy black ice will produce hazardous driving conditions today and
tonight...especially along less traveled secondary roads and in
areas along and east of Interstate 65. Some sunshine today over
western areas should help improve the icy conditions there.
