Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough of low pressure extends from the inland Pilbara through the North
Interior. A tropical low over the NT is likely to move slowly west over the
next few days with an increase in rainfall and thunderstorm activity over the
north Kimberley during Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will develop south of the State over the weekend. A
surface trough will deepen near the west coast on Monday and move inland during
Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 30 December
Showers about southern coastal parts. Thunderstorms possible near the eastern
south coast in the late afternoon and evening.
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 31 December
Showers along the south coast, clearing during the morning. Morning
thunderstorms possible about the South East Coastal district.
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara and Interior.
The chance of thunderstorms in the far southeast Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 1 January
Showers along the eastern south coast and the Eucla coast, clearing during the
morning.
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern Gascoyne
and the north and west Interior.

Forecast for Monday 2 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern Gascoyne
and northern Interior. Possible heavy falls over the northeast Kimberley. Hot
to very hot near the west coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 3 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern Gascoyne
and northern Interior. Possible heavy falls over the north Kimberley. Hot to
very hot near the west coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
