Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
Tropical Cyclone Christine currently to the northwest of Broome and moving
southwest towards the Pilbara coast. Heavy rainfall and strong winds are
expected about the west Kimberley coast, extending to the Pilbara later on
Sunday and into the Gascoyne on Monday and Tuesday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies in the Bight with a trough deepening inland from
the west coast. The remnants of a likely ex tropical cyclone by Wednesday may
bring areas of heavy rainfall and gusty winds through the eastern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and Eucla during Tuesday and Wednesday but is dependent on the
movement of Tropical cyclone Christine.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms across the Kimberley, northern Interior and Pilbara
with some heavy falls and windy conditions over the West Kimberley coast and
east Pilbara coast.
Showers and thunderstorms over the inland Gascoyne, the Goldfields, west Eucla
and eastern part of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms across most of the state northeast of a line from
Carnarvon to Esperance. Very windy with rain and heavy falls possible in the
Pilbara and west coastal Kimberley. Possible morning drizzle near the south
coast west of Hood Point.

Forecast for Tuesday 31 December
Showers and thunderstorms across most of the state away from the west coast.
Very windy with rain and heavy falls possible in the Pilbara and Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over central and eastern parts of the state with some
rain areas, gusty winds and possible heavy falls over the Goldfields and
western Eucla. Very hot and windy over the eastern Interior and Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
