Statement as of 1:53 PM CST on November 26, 2013
...Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight CST
tonight...
* geographic area...locations west of the Cumberland Plateau.
* Timing...3 PM CST this afternoon to midnight CST tonight.
* Main impact...one inch of snowfall...with locally higher
amounts possible...especially east of Interstate 65.
* Other impacts...snow that falls in the evening will produce wet
roads that could freeze later in the night...as temperatures
fall...and produce dangerous patches of black ice.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
driving.
