Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the inland Pilbara and central Kimberley and will
remaining fairly stationary for the next few days. A Tropical Low may develop
well to the north of the State during the remainder of Wednesday and Thursday
and could cross the eastern Pilbara or western Kimberley coast later on Friday
or during Saturday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the Gascoyne through to the Goldfields and
western Eucla. A ridge of high pressure will strengthen to the south of the
State during Thursday. A new surface trough begins to develop through central
parts of the west coast later Thursday and during Friday, before deepening and
moving eastwards during Saturday and Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, inland Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, southern Goldfields, and northeastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Showers near the south coast.

Forecast for Thursday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and northern Interior,
Pilbara, Gascoyne and the Central West. Possible heavy falls over the western
Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and adjacent Interior. Mostly morning
showers over the Eucla and southern coasts east of Albany.

Forecast for Friday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and northern Interior,
Pilbara, Gascoyne and the Central West, extending into the Lower West and South
West districts in the evening. Damaging wind gusts possible near the Pilbara
coast and west Kimberley coast, depending on the movement and development of
the Tropical Low. Possible heavy falls over the western Kimberley, Pilbara,
Gascoyne and northern Central West.

Forecast for Saturday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms over most of the State, apart from the southeast
Interior and the eastern Eucla. Damaging wind gusts possible near the Pilbara
coast and west Kimberley coast, depending on the movement and development of
the Tropical Low. Possible heavy falls over the western Kimberley, Pilbara,
Gascoyne and western and central parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, central and eastern
Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, central and eastern South West Land Division, the
Goldfields and the Eucla. Heavy falls possible over the eastern Gascoyne, the
Goldfields, western Interior and western Eucla. Showers over remaining parts of
the South West Land Division, Gascoyne and Pilbara, easing later in the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
