Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A heat low lies over the inland Kimberley with a trough extending to near the
Pilbara coast. Another trough extends down through central parts of the state
and is expected to move east on Monday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A middle level rain band lies over southwestern parts, contracting east during
Monday as a ridge of high pressure develops over the south of the state late
Monday. The high pressure ridge lies over the south of the state until
Thursday, when a trough develops near the west coast, moving east on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 30 September
Rain areas southwest of a line Denham to Israelite Bay, with some moderate
falls over the south and west. Rain areas easing to showers and contracting to
southern coastal districts and Eucla in the afternoon. Some morning showers
about the far west Pilbara and Gascoyne coast. Afternoon and evening showers or
thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley and eastern Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 1 October
Showers near the south coast west of Bremer Bay. Afternoon and evening showers
or thunderstorms possible over the far north Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 2 October
Showers near the south coast east of Bremer Bay and near the west coast south
of Mandurah, clearing in the evening. Afternoon and evening showers or
thunderstorms possible over the far north Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 3 October
Isolated afternoon and evening showers or thunderstorms over the central and
east Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
