Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies through central parts of the State and will ease
over the weekend as a series of cold front moves over southern parts. Gusty
easterly winds redeveloping over the Pilbara and western Kimberley late Sunday
as a new high pressure ridge establishes over southern parts from Sunday
evening and further builds during Monday. A high pressure system moves into the
Bight on Tuesday as a trough starts to develop off the coast in the northwest.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A pre-frontal trough lies over the South West District with a cold front
reaching the southwest of the State Friday evening. A second, stronger cold
front moves through southern parts late Saturday and during Sunday with a new
high pressure system developing over the south of the State in the wake of the
front late on Sunday and during Monday. A high pressure system moves into the
Bight on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 29 July
Showers over southwestern parts of the South West Land Division with gusty
winds. Patchy light rain possible over the south Gascoyne, Central West and the
adjacent parts of the Central Wheat Belt and Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 30 July
Patchy light rain over the south Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior and the
Eucla. Showers southwest of a line Shark Bay to Eyre, becoming more widespread
with the chance of thunderstorms southwest of Busselton to Albany in the
evening. Gusty winds with showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Sunday 31 July
Patchy light rain over the south Gascoyne, northeast Goldfields, South Interior
and the northeast Eucla, contracting eastwards during the day. Showers over the
South West Land Division, gusty winds over most of the South West Land Division
with hail possible over central and southern districts, the southern Goldfields
and the southwest Eucla. Thunderstorms possible over southern coastal
districts, contracting to the South East Coastal District during the afternoon.

Forecast for Monday 1 August
Showers near the south coast. Morning frost over inland parts of the South West
Land Division. Gusty southeasterly winds over the Pilbara, Gascoyne and North
Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 2 August
Morning drizzle over coastal parts of the Eucla. Gusty winds over northern
central parts in the morning.
