Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system lies over southern parts resulting in fresh and gusty
easterly winds, easing over the weekend as the high contracts to the east.
Gusty easterly winds redeveloping from Sunday evening over the Pilbara and
western Kimberley as a new high pressure ridge establishes over southern parts
during Sunday and Monday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system gradually contracts eastwards as a cold front approaches
from the west Friday. A second stronger cold front moves through southern parts
late Saturday and during Sunday with a new high pressure system developing over
the south of the State late Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 28 July
Showers possible near the southwest coast between Margaret River and Albany.
Very light rain over the western Gascoyne and northern South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 29 July
Showers developing about western parts of the South West Land Division by early
afternoon and extending to the remaining South West Land Division in the
afternoon and evening. Patchy light rain possible over the southwestern
Gascoyne, extending to the Goldfields during the afternoon and evening and to
the Eucla overnight. Showers increasing with gusty conditions developing
through western parts of the South West Land Division during the afternoon.

Forecast for Saturday 30 July
Patchy light rain over the southeast Gascoyne, southern Goldfields and the
Eucla, contracting east. Gusty showers about southern coastal parts and the
west coast south of Jurien Bay in the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 31 July
Showers over the South West Land Division,

Patchy light rain over the southwest Interior, the northeast Goldfields and
Eucla, contracting east. Showers and gusty winds over most of the South West
Land Division with hail possible over central and southern districts.
Thunderstorms southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Monday 1 August
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast, reaching inland parts of the
Eucla and the southern Interior in the morning. Gusty easterly winds over the
Pilbara and northern Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
