Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A near stationary ridge of high pressure lie across central parts of the
Continent and is expected to direct a moderate to fresh easterly flow through
the forecast period.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A cloud band extends over eastern parts of the SW Land Division, and a weak
surface trough lies near the west coast. These features will move eastwards
during Friday before a new ridge of high pressure develops over central parts
of the State in their wake. A cold front will brush the southwest corner of the
State Saturday evening.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 3 July
Patchy rain over the eastern South West Land Division and southern Goldfields,
contracting to the Eucla district during the morning. Showers southwest of a
line Geraldton to Cunderdin to Bremer Bay, mostly near the coast.
Forecast for Saturday 4 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, increasing about southern coastal
parts in the evening.
Forecast for Sunday 5 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, the far southern Goldfields and
coastal parts of the Eucla.
Forecast for Monday 6 July
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, the far southern
Goldfields and Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
