Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern parts of the State. A strong ridge will
develop over the southern parts of the State on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday,
producing a fresh easterly flow over the Pilbara and Kimberley.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system and surface trough will contract into southeast parts of
the State and weaken on Saturday. A strong ridge of high pressure will develop
in its wake. The ridge will persist over the south of the State on Sunday and
Monday, with a high pressure system moving south of the state on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 1 August
Areas of rain and possible thunderstorms across the the Goldfields, eastern
parts of the South West Land Division and the Eucla, easing to showers from the
west during the day, before contracting to southern coastal parts by evening.
Showers over the South West Land Division, far west Pilbara and Gascoyne easing
and contracting to the south coast by the evening. Moderate to heavy falls
possible over the eastern Goldfields and the Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 2 August
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast, extending to inland parts for a
period during the day.

Forecast for Monday 3 August
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast, extending to inland parts for a
period during the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 4 August
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast, extending to inland parts for a
period during the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
