Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies over the Kimberley. Another trough will develop
over the inland Pilbara on Thursday and contract eastwards on Friday. Fresh
southerly winds about the western Pilbara Thursday and Friday morning.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge of high pressure lie over the south of the state, with a cold
front and associated middle level disturbance expected to move across western
parts of the State on Thursday . A a high pressure ridge will develop over
southern parts during Friday, with a high pressure system moving into the Bight
on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 27 September
Showers over most parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields
and Eucla, contracting to near coastal parts during this evening. Possible
thunderstorms about the coastal Eucla, clearing this evening. Showers and
possible thunderstorms over the eastern Pilbara and the northern Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 28 September
Showers extending throughout the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields,
southwest Gascoyne and Eucla during the day, with isolated thunderstorms
possible southwest of a line Geraldton to Southern Cross to Israelite Bay.
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the eastern Pilbara and the northern
Interior.
Forecast for Friday 29 September
Showers along the south coast, extending to adjacent inland parts during the
day. Showers and isolated thunderstorms throughout the Interior, northern
Goldfields, eastern Pilbara and adjacent Gascoyne. Late showers about the
southeast Kimberley.
Forecast for Saturday 30 September
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast. Showers and thunderstorms over
the Interior. Chance of an afternoon shower in the far north Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 1 October
Morning showers about the coastal Eucla. Afternoon showers about the west
Kimberley and northeast Interior.
