Western Australia Forecast

Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies over the Kimberley. Another trough will develop
over the inland Pilbara in the middle of the week.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system lies to the southeast of Esperance and is moving
southeast and away from WA. A weak cold front and associated middle level
disturbance will move across western parts of the State on Thursday with a high
pressure ridge developing over southern parts during Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 26 September
Showers southwest of a line from Exmouth to Eucla, contracting to near coastal
parts in the evening. Thunderstorms over the Central West and adjacent parts.

Forecast for Wednesday 27 September
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and Eucla, contracting to near coastal parts during the
afternoon. Showers possible over the eastern Pilbara and the Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 28 September
Showers extending through western and southern parts of the the South West Land
Division during the day with thunderstorms possible southwest of a line
Geraldton to Northam to Bremer Bay. Showers possible over the eastern Pilbara
and the Interior and also near the Gascoyne coast in the evening.

Forecast for Friday 29 September
Morning showers along the west coast. Shower near the south coast west of Eyre.
Showers and thunderstorms over the far the eastern Pilbara and the Interior and
over adjacent parts of the Gascoyne and Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 30 September
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast. Showers and thunderstorms over
the Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
