Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough lies across inland parts of the Pilbara and Kimberley.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure lies across central and eastern parts of the
state. A high pressure system will develop south of the state during Saturday,
before a trough develops near the west coast on Sunday. The trough will move
inland on Monday and a new ridge of high pressure will rapidly develop to the
south of the state.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 28 February
Showers and thunderstorms north of a line from Kalbarri to Leonora to Forrest.
Heavy falls and gusty winds possible with thunderstorms in the afternoon and
evening. Showers near the southern coast and Eucla coast, mostly in the morning
and early afternoon.
Forecast for Sunday 1 March
Showers and thunderstorms over all but far southwestern parts of the state.
Heavy falls and gusty winds possible with thunderstorms over the Pilbara,
Gascoyne and northern South West Land Division in the afternoon.
Forecast for Monday 2 March
Showers and thunderstorms northeast of a line from Geraldton to Ravensthorpe.
Showers along the south coast, mostly during the morning.
Forecast for Tuesday 3 March
Showers and thunderstorms north of a line from Kalbarri to Leinster to Forrest.
Showers along the south coast, mostly during the morning.
