Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies over the west Kimberley and Pilbara Coast. A weak ridge
of high pressure will develop over northern areas during Thursday and Friday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system over the SW Land Division will move into the Bight during
Wednesday. A cold front will reach the west coast later on Thursday. A fresh to
strong westerly flow will develop during Friday and continue on Saturday for
southern parts of the state.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 28 August
Showers across the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Eucla and adjacent Interior, contracting to coastal parts during the evening.
Thunderstorms also possible, contracting eastwards during the day.

Forecast for Thursday 29 August
Showers west of the a line Coral Bay to Dalwallinu to Albany, extending to
remaining areas west of a line Exmouth to Hopetoun during the afternoon and
evening. Early morning showers along the south coast. Thunderstorms possible
during the afternoon about coastal parts south of Kalbarri.

Forecast for Friday 30 August
Showers southwest of a line Exmouth to Eyre, contracting to areas west of a
line Kalbarri to Merredin to Bremer Bay during the afternoon and evening.
Thunderstorms possible during the evening southwest of a line Mandurah to
Albany.

Forecast for Saturday 31 August
Showers southwest of a line Carnarvon to Israelite Bay. Gusty thunderstorms
possible southwest of a line Mandurah to Albany. Windy over southern parts of
the SW Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
