Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies over the west Kimberley and Pilbara Coast. The passage of
a series of complex low pressure systems over southern parts of the state over
the next few days will result in generally light winds over the northern half
of the state.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system and cold front is expected to move over the southwest of
the state during Tuesday and into the Bight region on Wednesday. Another cold
front will approach the west coast during Friday and move over western parts on
Saturday morning.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 27 August
Showers and thunderstorms developing over western parts of the South West Land
Division, extending east late in the day and reaching the far SW Gascoyne and
southwest Goldfields towards midnight. Heavy falls and gusty winds possible
near the west coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 28 August
Showers across the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Eucla and adjacent Interior. Thunderstorms also possible, contracting eastwards
during the day.

Forecast for Thursday 29 August
Showers over western parts of the SW Land Division, extending to all but far
eastern parts for a period during the day.

Forecast for Friday 30 August
Showers over western parts of the SW Land Division, extending to all but far
eastern parts and into the SW Gascoyne for a period during the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
