Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies over the west Kimberley and Pilbara Coast. The passage of
a series of complex low pressure systems over southern parts of the state over
the next few days will result in generally light winds over the northern half
of the state.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system and upper level trough is moving over the south of the
state and will move into the Bight during Monday. A second low pressure system
is then expected to move over the southwest of the state during Tuesday and
into the Bight region on Wednesday. A cold front will approach the west coast
during Thursday and move over western parts on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 26 August
Showers across the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, Eucla and
southern Interior, more frequent with thunderstorms in southern parts for a
period in the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 27 August
Showers and thunderstorms developing over western parts of the South West Land
Division, extending into eastern parts late in the day and reaching the far SW
Gascoyne and southwest Goldfields towards midnight.

Forecast for Wednesday 28 August
Showers across the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, southern
Goldfields and western Eucla more frequent with isolated thunderstorms in
southeastern parts.
Showers and thunderstorms, extending throughout the Eucla and adjacent Interior
during the day.

Forecast for Thursday 29 August
Showers near the west coast south of Shark Bay, increasing and slowly extending
to the southwest Gascoyne and western parts of the South West Land Division by
evening. Some moderate to heavy falls and thunderstorms possible.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
