Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies near the Pilbara coast and extends to the inland Kimberley.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough extends from the Gascoyne to the Southeast Coastal district. A
weakening cold front will pass over the southwest corner of the State during
Monday evening. A new ridge of high pressure will develop south of the State
during Tuesday before a high pressure system moves into the Bight on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 29 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields,
western Eucla and the Southeast Coastal district. Showers over the Southwest
district, Lower West and western parts of the Great Southern and South Coastal
districts with light falls anticipated.
Forecast for Tuesday 1 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, eastern and
northern Goldfields and the northeastern Gascoyne. Morning showers about the
Southeast Coastal district and western Eucla.
Forecast for Wednesday 2 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne
and northern Goldfields. Morning showers possible about the Eucla coast.
Forecast for Thursday 3 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne,
northern Goldfields and far southwestern Interior.
Forecast for Friday 4 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields and over the Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
