Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Pilbara to the North Interior and will
contract north during Friday.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is developing along the south coast with a high moving
south of the Bight during Friday. A trough will deepen near the west coast
through to Saturday and move inland under the influence of a cold front to the
southwest of the State with the front reaching the southwest corner later on
Monday. A new ridge of high pressure will develop south of the State in the
wake of the front during Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 25 February
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the Kimberley,
eastern Pilbara, northern and central Interior, eastern Gascoyne and northern
Goldfields.
Forecast for Friday 26 February
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the Kimberley,
eastern Pilbara, northern and western Interior, eastern and southern Gascoyne,
northern Goldfields and inland parts of the northern Central West district and
the adjacent Central Wheat Belt.
Forecast for Saturday 27 February
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the Kimberley,
central and eastern Pilbara, northern and western Interior, western Goldfields,
southern and eastern Gascoyne and most of the South West Land Division. Early
morning thunderstorms and showers possible over the Southwest district and
adjacent parts..
Forecast for Sunday 28 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
northwestern Interior, western Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne and central and
over central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Monday 29 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and the Southeast Coastal district. Afternoon showers developing
over the Southwest district with light falls reaching the adjacent Lower West,
Great Southern and South Coastal district during the evening.
